</b><br />
<br />
<b>Quilting</b> can refer either to the process of creating a quilt or
to the sewing of two or more layers of material together to make a
thicker padded material. "Quilting" as the process of creating a quilt
uses "quilting" as the joining of layers as one of its steps, often
along with designing, piecing, appliqué, binding and other steps.<br />
<br />
<b>Origami quilts</b> is a relatively new branch of origami. Here, paper
is folded into units and many units join to form beautiful, planar
mosaics. These can then be displayed on a tabletop or hung up against a
wall.
<br />
<br />
Origami quilts may be considered a subset of modular origami.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
In modular origami, the models are usually polyhedra or stars. In
contrast, origami quilts are flat and, in principle, can expand
indefinitely. Because origami quilts are composed of many units joined
side by side, they are reminiscent of tessellations.<br />

engineering principles to fold mind-blowingly intricate designs that
are beautiful and, sometimes, very useful.<br />
<br />
Did you know that origami is being applied to many things around you, it is not just an origami crane only. Not just a piece of paper only. Look at the tissue box, the flip calendar, files on your desk it is an origami concept.<br />
<br />
Did you know that the satellite up on your head is using folding technique. There is an origami stent, a revolutionary creation by a Japanese that being used medically.<br />
<br />
Watch this video of 18 minutes talks by a pro origamist and you will open your eye.<br />

The first video is the different type of bone folders that available on the market:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/QcVGxdo7MHA?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>

The second video shows how to use it:<br />

<br />
And lastly a quick tip video on scoring card:<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gs26Z0fhM-g" width="560"></iframe>
Can you see the difference of using a bone folder and hand fold the paper? Hmmm, the scoring board is very very good origami tool. Hmm, may be my next post on origami tool is scoring board. Hehehe. I am going to get it one scoring board first. Anyone knows where to find it in Malaysia?<br />

<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/Bonefolders.jpg/250px-Bonefolders.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/Bonefolders.jpg/250px-Bonefolders.jpg" width="184" /></a></td></tr>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
A <b>bone folder</b> or <b>bonefolder</b> is a dull edged handtool used to fold and crease material in crafts such as bookbinding, cardmaking, origami and other papercrafts where a sharp crease or fold is needed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Often made from the leg bone of a cow, deer, or similar animal,there are also synthetic alternatives made from plastics. However those made from bone may be less prone to leaving residues on the workpiece. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In Japanese bookbinding the equivalent folding tool is traditionally made from bamboo, although a Japanese fabric marking tool ("<i>hera</i>") or Western bone folder may be substituted.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The bone folder is also used for marking fabric where a temporary mark needs to be made without damaging the material.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love folding paper using bonefolder as it the sharp and accurate crease or fold a paper. The end result is very precise and sharp compared by folding a paper using hand and finger nail. Although, it is very hard to find one in bookstore or shops in Malaysia. You can substitute it with plastic ruler.</div>

We cut a black paper in a shape of a penguin and paste it on a card which where drawn by my wife a panorama of a pole.<br />

My daughter love the card very much. :-)<br />

Pop-Up Cards are basically cards that, once opened, have a picture coming outward, giving the reader a surprise.
<br />
<br />
Pictures and printed messages in greeting cards come in various
styles, from fine art to humorous to profane. Non-specific cards,
unrelated to any occasion, might feature a picture (or a pocket to paste
in a personal photograph) but no pre-printed message.<br />

An origami shirt is a popular origami fold during father's day and easy to make. It can be paste in front of a card or can be a gift tag. U can fold it by using money such as RM 1 (paper note) and it will turn out very pretty but do not try to fold it with a polymer note as it may not fold properly.</div>

This paper heart is called a Lucky Heart because it is made in the same way the <a href="http://wefoldpaper.blogspot.com/2013/11/an-origami-day-origami-stars.html">Origami Lucky Stars</a>
are made. Perhaps a name of Puff Heart or Puffy Heart might be appropriate since this
heart is puffy and not flat. Model uses one strip of paper and
requires cutting. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can learn how to do it with this video:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/n28ebY3lD7Y?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
and put it in a jar like this:</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/6549642/il_570xN.360256720.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/6549642/il_570xN.360256720.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">picture source: google.com</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Pretty....<br />
<br />
Pst... you can write something on the paper first before you fold it or you can print lyric of a love song, cut the paper into strips, fold it and give it to your love one. <3 it... <br />
<br />
Happy folding. Good luck. :-)<br />
